Contest Rules

HOW TO ENTER

To enter, please complete the entry form at http://contest.ufcw175.com/form.php . To be eligible, entries must be completed and received on or by the closing date of the draws. Incomplete entries will be disqualified. All entries shall become the property of UFCW Local 175. UFCW Local 175 is not responsible for lost, misdirected or delayed entries. Entries received by telephone, fax, courier or personal delivery will not be accepted.

CONTEST RULES:

  1. The contest is open to UFCW Local 175 and 633 members (independently of where they live) and relatives and the general public (residents of Ontario only) referred by a participant of the contest, of age of majority. Identification must be produced on request. Employees of UFCW Local 175, its contest sponsor, advertising and promotional agencies and their respective affiliates and associates and such employees' immediate family members and persons with whom such employees are domiciled are excluded from this contest.
  2. The prize is not redeemable in cash and must be accepted as awarded.
  3. Decisions of the contest organizers are final - no substitutions will be available.
  4. By claiming the prize, the winner authorizes the use, without additional compensation of his or her name and/or likeness and/or voice/photograph and municipality of residence for promotion and/or advertising purposes in any manner and in any medium (including without limitation, radio broadcasts, newspapers and other publications and in television or film releases, slides, videotape, distribution over the internet and picture date storage) which UFCW Local 175 may deem appropriate.
  5. In accepting the prize, the winner, and any guest(s), acknowledges that UFCW Local 175 will not be held liable for any loss, damages or injury associated with accepting or using this prize(s).
  6. The person(s) whose name(s) is drawn as being the winner(s) of the specific prize will be required to answer a skill-testing question before the prize is awarded to them.
  7. Detailed contest rules applicable to this contest, including contest entry dates, how to enter, and list of prizes and any restrictions applicable to these prizes are available at http://contest.ufcw175.com/prizes.php .
  8. Winners and any guests at the age of majority must sign a release form as prepared and accepted by UFCW Local 175 acknowledging their acceptance and understanding of the complete contest rules.
  9. UFCW Local 175 retains the rights, in its absolute and sole discretion, to make substitutions of equivalent kind or approximate value in the event of the unavailability of any prize or component of the prize for any reason whatsoever.
  10. This contest is subject to all federal, provincial and municipal laws.
  11. UFCW Local 175 reserves the right to withdraw or terminate this contest at any time without prior notice.
  12. If the prize involves travel, winner and travel companion must agree to the airline's Terms and Conditions of travel. Once confirmed, trip dates and travel accommodations cannot be changed by winner; however, travel is subject to availability, blackout dates, and/or change due to circumstances beyond Sponsors' and Administrators' control. Winner and travel companion must travel on the same dates, itinerary, and fare class. No extensions will be permitted, and any unused travel will be forfeited. Prize cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion or offer and may not be separated. All tickets issued in conjunction with the Grand Prize are not eligible for frequent flyer miles, and no code-share flights may be used. Trip must be taken during the months April or May 2008.
  13. Contest open to Canadian residents only.
  14. You accumulate more chances to win by:
    1. Entering a new registration for yourself each day,
    2. Referring a co-worker, relative or friend that lives in Ontario (up to 5 extra per week) and having the referred person enter the contest.
  15. The Grand Prize will be drawn on Monday, February 4th, 2008.


You can increase your chances to win by:

  • Frequently visiting Local 175 and 633 website (only one entry per day) and entering a new registration.
  • Referring other members, relatives and friends to the contest (up to five more chances per week).
  • For the weekly draw we start anew every Monday. Registrations from the previous week(s) are not part of this new weekly draw.
  • For the monthly draw we start anew every month. Registrations from the previous month(s) are not part of the new monthly draw.
  • Weekly and Monthly draws will be on Mondays. Weekly draw winners will have a prize choice of either a Union Shirt or a (light) Union Jacket (your choice between 2 styles), but not to receive both. Monthly draw winners will have a prize choice of either a Pen & Pencil Set or Union Watch (either men's or women's), but not to receive both.
  • For the grand prize, all and every entry/registration from the first day of the contest has a chance to win.
